iLEAD Lancaster

First L.I.N.C Planning Meeting: October 11

preteens

Foster kids and learners who are living in nontraditional homes, such as with extended family members or persons who are not their biological parents, are invited to both individual and group sessions called The L.I.N.C (Living In Non-traditional Care) during school hours. Our goal is to provide learners with the necessary support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

During individual sessions, our school social worker, Mrs. Kammy, will focus on addressing each learner’s specific needs, strengths, and challenges. We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where your learner can openly express their thoughts and concerns. During group sessions, learners will also have the opportunity to participate in group sessions with other foster youth. These sessions will promote a sense of belonging, foster peer connections, and provide a platform for sharing experiences.

All discussions during individual and group sessions will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

We value your input as caregivers. Regular communication will be maintained between you, our school staff, and Mrs. Kammy. We encourage you to share any concerns, observations, or suggestions that can contribute to the overall well-being and progress of your learner.

At iLEAD, we are committed to providing a holistic and inclusive education for every student. We are confident that the inclusion of your learner in these individual and group sessions will make a positive impact on their educational journey and overall development.

Our first L.I.N.C. planning meeting will be October 11. Please stay tuned to ParentSquare for details.

Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Kammy, our school social worker, at Kammy.Bell@iLEADLancaster.org or (661) 722-4287.
