Find your TRUE Direction! December 14 or 15, only one date.

Our Winter Production details are coming soon and we wanted to give you as much notice as possible to plan. The following dates have been requested — December 14 or 15 — and we are awaiting approval at a local Lancaster theater. More details to follow soon. Please plan to attend and ask your learner what they have been working on for the production in musical theater, choir, art (these learners will help with set design) P.E. or dance.

Message from our Theater Director, Katy Govin:

Hi everyone! It’s almost here, the fantastic winter show, “Find your True Direction.” I need your help to make this a smashing success! Here’s what I need:

Tk/K: Kids need to bring a rubber ducky, a kazoo, a shower cap and a big towel to wear for their song, “Rubber Ducky.” Please send them in regular school clothes.
1st grade: They are the chefs of the story. They need aprons and cooking hats. Please send them in regular school clothes.
2nd grade: They are the entertainers in genie costumes. Get creative and make it however you want.
3rd grade: Are the doctors of the cruise ship, so a white shirt and light pants with red cross “cross” on their shirt.
4/5th grade: They are the waiters on the cruise ship. White shirts and black pants and a tie and a hand towel.
6/7/8th grade boys: Are the mechanics of the ship so white T-shirt and jeans would be great.
6/7/8th grade: Are also the passengers of the ship they can wear whatever they want. Cruise ship appropriate.

Your learners in 4/5/6/7/8, aside from their normal specials classes, also have the opportunity to rehearse from 10:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on Thursdays outside by Holodeck. If your learner has not chosen to participate in musical theater, choir, or dance, they are still in the show. Every child is in the show! We have two large numbers that include everyone, plus a special performance from the staff. Ticket and production date info to follow soon in a separate e-mail.
