iLEAD Lancaster Sparkles

1st Graders Explore Animal Habitats
This week first graders became true explorers as they expanded their learning outside of the classroom. Their driving question is “Why are habitats important to animals and how can I use my voice and choices to protect their habitats?” Under the new theme, Animals and Their Habitats, first graders gained hands-on experience by taking a nature walk around the school in search of desert wildlife. In class, they sketched pictures and wrote sentences about animals that are native to their environment.
