Glider Day is This Week!

Have you seen a glider up close? You will have the opportunity right here on our very own campus! This Tuesday, Oct. 15th, we will have a glider on campus and all learners will get up close and hear a presentation from our aviation friends at Southern California Soaring Academy. Ask your learner to tell you all about it!

Our learners will be learning how they, too, can take flight by being fully immersed in a panel interview with a recent graduate of iLEAD who earned his pilot’s license just this year. Some of the questions they will be asking are:

What are some of the obstacles you had to overcome to get your pilot rating (license)?
What do you love most about flying?
What are some of the things you had to learn to get your rating?
What have you learned about yourself as you went through the process? How do these inform you about other challenges you might encounter?
Do you have any ideas about how you might use this in the future?
If someone wanted to become a pilot, where would you encourage them to start?

We know that an in-person glider experience will be the cherry on top for our learners, but please note, valet takes place during glider assembly and we know how cool it would be to watch! Please park and walk in if you would like to enjoy the show. Please also be aware of slowing vehicles and learners while using valet.
