Dear Families,
We hope you all enjoyed a fun and relaxing spring break, “sharpening the saw” with friends, families, and loved ones.
As many of you know, we are going to experience a solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, making this a unique opportunity and learning experience for our learners. We will be live streaming via NASA.gov so our learners can observe this phenomenon safely. Throughout the day on Monday, our science facilitators will be leading a lesson about the eclipse. Please talk to your child about taking this event seriously and being safe by avoiding looking directly at the sun.
Instructional time, attendance, and the safety of our learners are our priorities. We will be on an inclement weather schedule during the time of the eclipse. There will be no outdoor activities, including PE, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Learners will be doing indoor activities during that time.
If you have any questions for our team, please don’t hesitate to reach out to info@ileadlancaster.org or (661) 722-4287. And be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected.
With gratitude,
Deborah Autrey
Leadership Resident
