New Guide: Rubin Garcia
Please join me (Mrs. Wampler) in welcoming our new guide, Rubin Garcia. While subbing for the past couple weeks he has shown genuine interests in each learner, and is always willing to assist anyone at the drop of a hat. Mr. Garcia will be the guide to all 9th graders, while I focus on grades 10-12. Of course we will both support each learner in any way we can. But, enough with the logistics, let’s hear from the man himself:
My name is Rubin Garcia, I graduated from CSUN with a bachelor’s in English and a multiple-subject credential as well as a single-subject authorization in English. I have been interested in teaching since I was 14, when I got my first job as a tutor. I have worked as a teacher for grades 3-8 in LAUSD. I am happy to be part of iLEAD because we get to teach students based on their needs and not the district’s needs. I am very thankful to be here.
Dear Innovation Studios’ Parents/Guardians,
We need your help to plan a school dance. If anyone is interested in heading a committee please email Mrs. Wampler (kristena.wampler@ileadschools.org).
Progress reports will be going out this week. Each learner will be given two copies, one to keep and one that needs to be signed and returned.
