WEDNESDAY: Planning Meeting for Backpacks Full of Hope 2020

This Wednesday, Oct. 16th, is the next planning meeting for the 2020 Backpacks Full of Hope relief trip to Puerto Rico, 4 p.m. at the iLEAD Lancaster campus (254 E Ave K4, Lancaster, CA 93535).

To join the meeting online via Zoom, click here and enter meeting ID 404-566-9985 if prompted. You can also call in by dialing either (669) 900-6833 or (646) 558-8656.

We are preparing for iLEAD’s third trip to Puerto Rico to help our fellow Americans as they continue rebuilding after the island was devastated by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

Just a few months after the disaster, iLEAD families mobilized and launched Backpacks Full of Hope humanitarian initiative to help rebuild. In March 2018, learners, family members, and iLEAD staff set out to help with the reconstruction and reforestation efforts. The trip was a huge success, but it was apparent that much work still remained. In April 2019, we returned – this time with over 30 backpackers, including 12 from that original group.
