Exploration – Home School: The Studio Experience

The Studio Experience offers the perfect balance of freedom and structure to explore a variety of academic topics! We will start each 6-week session with a thematic topic and guide the learners to explore multiple aspects of it. This will include a fun activity, a group discussion, and individual guidance from the Educational Facilitator (EF).

Learners will then choose their own projects as inspired by the thematic topic. During each session, EFs will provide materials, mini-lessons, activities, guidance, and expertise on an as-needed basis to support each learner in their project. Parents will be updated on how they can support at home, if needed. By the end of each session, the learners who engage with the available resources will provide evidence of their growth that is ready for an authentic audience!

The Studio Experience is offered every Wednesday from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. as a “drop-off day” on the following 6-week rotation schedule:

1: Aug. 29 – Oct. 3

2: Oct. 17 – Nov. 28

3: Dec. 5 – Jan. 30

4: Feb. 6 – March 13

5: March 20 – May 1

6: May 8 – June 12
