iLEAD Lancaster Learners Win First Place in MESA Cargo Glider Competition
On Saturday, March 9, iLEAD Lancaster 8th graders ventured to Cal State LA for the Cargo Glider Competition as part of the MESA program. Julian, Katanna, and Nathaniel emerged triumphant, securing first place with their exceptional design – a testament to their creativity and teamwork.
The MESA Schools program at Cal State LA fosters excellence in mathematics, engineering, science, and technology. Through challenges like the Cargo Glider Competition, learners hone their technical skills and also cultivate the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for success in higher education and beyond.
Thank you to our facilitators, leaders, and the broader community for nurturing our rising STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) learners and leaders.
